It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Alfred Porat in Wetaskiwin on March 8, 2019 at the age of 84 years. Alfred is lovingly remembered by his son, Rick (Judy) Porat of Camrose; daughter, Becky de Vries of Wetaskiwin; grandchildren, Greg, Angela (Tim), Melinda (Jeff), Kelsie (Chad), Kayleigh Porat and Sharene de Vries (Abel); great grandchildren, Raelyn, Aiden, Sydnie, Alice, Avery; a brother, Ed Porat and special friend, Yvonne Adair; as well as numerous relatives and friends. Alfred was predeceased by his wife, Myrtle; sons, Randy and Rod; son-in-law, Hugo de Vries, siblings, Adolf, Emma, Olga, Selma, Judy, Elsa, Verna, Ann, Martha, Adele; and by his parents, Edward and Olga Porat; and sister-in-law, Barbara Porat. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, March 15, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in St. Theresa's Catholic Church, 411- 2nd Ave. Ma-Me-O Beach, Alberta, with interment to follow at Lakedell Cemetery.
