With heavy hearts but fond memories, the family of Mr. Joe Melnyk of Westerose, AB announces his passing on January 29, 2024 at the age of 85 years.
Joe will be remembered for his love of enjoying time out at his acreage fishing and gardening. It truly was his happy place. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, great-father, great-great-grandfather, brother and friend.
Joe will be forever loved by his son Josh (Lorraine); his daughters Lorrie (Tim) and Terry (Greg); his grandchildren: Robyn (Bob), Jaclyn (Pete), Cody, Angie (Brad), Misty, Cindy, Jordyn (Ali), Jo (Steven), Jordan (Dylan), Beth and Carlie (Justin): his brother Tom (Gaby) as well as numerous extended family and friends.
Joe was predeceased by his wife Margaret; his brother Steve and by his sisters Anne & Maryanne.
A private Celebration of Life will be held for Joe in the spring. If friends desire, Memorial Donations may be made in Joe's honor to the Cross Cancer Institute, 11560 University Ave. Edmonton, AB T6G 1Z2.
