In loving memory ~
John passed away peacefully on November 21 at the University of Alberta Hospital. He was born in Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia, the eldest son of the late Harry and Jennie Patriquin. The family lived in Millbrook and West New Annan, Nova Scotia.
John is survived by Kay Patriquin; sisters Ellen Simpson (Richard) and Elaine Lis (Mel); brothers Larry (Crystal), Basil "Bud", and Roger Patriquin. He was uncle to Kim, John, Gina, Nancy, Lorna, Janet, Dale, Denise, Jessica, Darren, Matt, David and Mike and several great nieces and nephews.
John loved animals and over the years had turkeys, chickens, as well as his dog, Morgan, and cat, Prince, (formally known as Black Cat); and in his earlier years, he had oxen. John was a welder who loved collecting and restoring antiques; his pride and joy being an Enterprise wood burning stove he restored to new. John was a gifted conversationalist, and enjoyed sharing stories with everyone, both young and old.
Special thanks to Denise Patriquin Fry and Alison Greenwald for the heartfelt care and attention given to our brother. Also, thanks to the staff in the critical care unit at the University of Alberta and Royal Alexandra Hospitals.
