Margareth Marie (Melnikel) Sturby

July 7, 1944 - December 12, 2022
It is with sadness we announce the passing of Margareth (Marge) Sturby (nee Melnikel) on December 12, 2022, at the age of 78 years.
Marge is survived by her husband Michael; children Shaun (Stacey), and Scott (Teresa); and her siblings Marlene (Dennis) Noyes, Shirley (Maurice) Fleury, Kenneth Melnikel, Edwin (Lucinda) Melnikel, Katherine (Norman) Breadner, Robert Melnikel, Janet (Paul) Schwab, Donna Rutland, Paul (Ita) Melnikel and Theresa (Curtis) Melnyk; and many nephews and nieces.
She was predeceased by her father Bernhard Melnikel; Mother Margareth Borzush (nee Hay, Melnikel); step-father Dan Borzush; and brother David Melnikel.
As one of Jehovah's Witnesses, Marge held the hope of living forever in paradise here on earth, and her family looks forward to welcoming her back. Marge was an avid gardener and enjoyed a variety of hobbies, including sewing, cross-stitching and crocheting. She looked forward to a time when she could take down all fences and let all the animals run free.
The family would like to thank the Doctors and staff at Wetaskiwin Hospital and the University of Alberta Hospital for the great care they showed Marge and her family. As well as a huge thank you to the Wetaskiwin Palliative Care team.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at 1:00 pm at the Glen Park Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses located at 48421 Range Road 273.
