In loving memory ~
It is with great sadness that the family of Richard (Dick) Squires announces his passing on July 31, 2023, after a long battle with cancer. He leaves to morn his wife, Lillian, of 60 years, three sons and six grandchildren; Wayne (Gina), Cole & Megan; Scott (Dana), Joe & Baily; Jason (Cindy) Karlee; Kaitlyn; sister Judy (Pat) Sheeham; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Richard was born in Banff, Alberta, in the late 30s. He had an exciting life in Project Management and operated several personal companies. From Europe to the Middle East, South America, and across North America He worked on projects ranging from nuclear power plants to sewer dumps. Richard was a member of many service clubs over the years and especially enjoyed his time with the Millet and District Lion's Club in Millet, Alberta.
Richard wants to thank all his friends for all the best wishes along with the passionate care received from the acute care nurses and doctors in Leduc and Drayton Valley hospitals.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Millet and District Lion's Club or the Canadian Cancer Society.
There will be no service. A memorial at the Millet and District Lion's Club is yet to be determined.
