January 12, 1936 - May 18, 2020
Rozalia Csernansky of Wetaskiwin, passed away peacefully on May 18th, 2020 at the age of 84.
Rozalia was born in Monor, Hungary on January 12th, 1936. She met Chester, the love of her life at a young age and they married on May 28th, 1955. Nine months later they welcomed their first son in February 1956. Later that year they made the hard decision to leave Hungary and their young son behind and began their long journey to start a new life in Canada. In early 1957 they arrived in Alberta and settled in the Warburg area where Chester worked on a farm while they welcomed their second son. Years later Rozalia and her husband welcomed the reunion with her firstborn after he arrived in Canada.
Soon they settled in Millet and their third child, a daughter arrived. Chester started his own business while Rozalia cared for a large egg producing operation. During those years if Rozalia wasn't tending to chickens, ducks, geese and even cows she would be found in her flower garden. Then after daylight ended you would find her busily embroidering her current project which may have been an amazing tablecloth, pillow or a dress. Not a minute was wasted in her day.
Both her and her husband loved to entertain relatives and their many friends from Edmonton. Sunday afternoon would always be happy times with the most amazing dinners imaginable. How everybody loved her fried chicken!
She was predeceased by her loving husband of 46 years, her parents, and siblings.
She is survived by her children, Chester Jr, George, and Rose (Doug); four grandchildren, Chad (Vanessa), Sarah (Matthew), Nicholas (Kayla) and Tyrell (Natasha); and ten great grandchildren.
Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother - You may be gone from our sight, but you will never be gone from our hearts. You will always be within us.
