The Wetaskiwin Regional School Public Schools (WRPS) held its sixth annual Golf Tournament on Sept. 9 at the Montgomery Glen Golf and Country Club.
The fundraiser received over $12,000 that will go towards the Education Plus Fund, Hungry Students Fund and Period Promise Fund.
The tournament was the biggest to date, according to Simone Bredlow, who helped run the fundraiser alongside Melissa Maygard, Shannon Dewald and staff from WRPS. Overall, 100 people attended the event.
“I was pretty proud of the support that we had from the community. I thought that was pretty great,” said Bredlow.
